I do to a degree. With so many things becoming mechanical and technological in this world today(although it makes life easier and more convenient) that we as human beings forget to be human. People talk through computers, meet online, etc. Not leaving out the medical fields where humanity isn't always as important as strides in progression for monetary means.. there is so much you could debate on this topic.

When Einstein issued this quote regarding the "bomb", the use of it against Japan was necessary to secure their surrender. To prolong the war would have cost millions more lives.
That said, I do believe that, with Iran on the brink of gaining nuclear weapons capability, our technology has indeed exceeded our humanity. What humanity does with this knowledge is the next question.

I'll say technology in general has not exceeded humanity but is allowing us to better understand each other. I truly think humanity is in it's infancy. It is because of the technology of the internet that you and I can better understand each other and appreciate our differences. In the future this technology will alleviate our differences based upon stereotypes, and 99% of us around the world will all come to realize we are all the same; Poor!

He's (almost) correct if you, in fact believe that dropping the bomb was a mistake in the first place or you think we've mis-behaved with the bomb after that.

I'd say 'no' to both of those points.

The nuclear bombs gathering dust for the past 60 years just proves that the system works (to date).

Given the quality of questions and answers here mixed with horrendous spelling (can they not read the Check Spelling box above?) I would have to say yes.

Agree, but it didn't just happen. I'm afraid this was true when all we had for technology was catapults and boiling oil....

no, the technology we create celebrates our humanity, how we depend on them to survive. however, abusive use of technology for one's interest is inhumane indeed.
