if it has a 5 speed auto then you need special fluid and a special dipstick from mercedes. if it has a 4 or 3 speed auto you can just use regular ATF like dextron or mercon and drain the old fluid out of the drain plug on the transmission pan and the torque converter if possible. its also a good idea to remove the transmission pan and replace the filter and the pan seal. if it has a 7 speed auto, they dont have a fill tube and you have to fill it up through the drain hole and that requires special equipment and a computer to be hooked up to the car. you didnt specify the year of the car and i am assuming it is in europe or something since i have never seen or heard of a us model e200.

Mercedes says its lifetime fluid and you do not need to change it. However if you plan on keeping car I would change it.
