Absolute #1 factor is making sure you get enough sleep every night. Establish a solidly consistent sleep schedule and then you'll have a much better chance of fitting in time for exercise, preparing healthy meals, and enjoyable hobbies. Those things have such a huge impact on your overall well-being that it's practically impossible to make much progress on reducing stress without tackling sleep, diet, and excercise first.

I think it's best to rub your temples because that helps when I'm under stress at home or in school or when I have a headache.

Think good thoughts. Don't say any curse words such as the d word that rymes with ham. If you are unwilling to do this then use a stress ball to squeeze with your hand.

1. no kids: Come home and take a long bath, pamper your self with lotions, pedicure ( do-it-yourself) and light incencse or candles, take a nice nap and simply make time for your self.
2> With kids: Take a special day for them and in return, take a day or 3 for yourself, as the do something you be doing your thing.

Sounds silly, but go outside and take off your shoes and socks. Feeling the cool air on your toes is a great way to unwind.

yoga is great. also relaxing music if you are able to at work. stop to take the time to call a friend for a chat. i do this on a regular basis and feel less pressure. im able to sleep better too.
