When you say meet more people, I'm guessing you mean meet more people of the opposite sex. To me, that would be a problem. My husband shouldn't need to be meeting more women - ANYWHERE - because he's married to me and I'm supposed to be the only woman in his life.
But, if you are talking about meeting people of the same sex - for example - being in chatrooms, blogs, etc. with people who have shared issues to discuss, I don't see anything wrong with that at all. There are lots of websites for women on prayer, parenting, health, etc. that you can talk to other women for helpful advice and share experiences.
I guess it all depends on what the motives are.

why do u think married people go on web sites to meet people?DUH there married!they cant go to bars they cant stay out half the night hunting for a piece.so guess what the beautiful Internet was invented for the lucky cheating husband or wife!they can stay at home with their wife or husband in the same room and talk to their potential lover or victim i should say and gab away!plan to meet, cyber sex, discuss everything they can with each other and never have to leave the house to be gone so long so their spouses can never question them they do all the leg work right on here!so when its all said and done they meet their time they said they do there thing and they leave back home back to the net to find another!now u wonder why married people are on here ?

It depends who they are trying to me and for what reason.
I am a married Man and I go to websites to make friends and to talk to people with the same interests. If his going on line to try to pick someone up he's probably in a bad marriage, looking to cheat or is cheating. once you get married that doesn't mean you never get to meet new people. only the rules change.

Although some people are looking for extra-marital affairs (I sense that maybe this is a concern you have), some people are just honestly looking for a friend to talk to. Ideally you should be able to talk to your mate about anything and everything, but sometimes you just need someone who isn't attached to you in that way to talk to, answer questions for you, and maybe give a sympathetic ear when your upset with your partner.

I don't think it's wrong to meet people on the internet if it's for friendships only. I've made some really good friends through the internet.

Married people do need friends of the opposite sex to get insight of their point of view so maybe it could help them in their relationship with their spouse/partner.

just because someone is married does not mean that they have to shut out their personal life. If they did that, their marriage would suffer because the spouse is all they would rely on
