Watcher in the Woods. It's a Disney movie but it has those crazy sound effects.
Hostel was the biggest waste of time. It wasn't scary it was just gross and pointless. It's like one of those urban legend tales... don't have sex...or you'll be killed...
Try some of the classics. Scary movies are hard to suggest because everyone likes different types.

Pet Sematary - Its an old movie but its the Scariest movie ive seen.
The Grudge - It definitley gave me nightmares
It - It Freaked me out
The Orignial Exorsist- I couldnt even finish watching it!
Texas Chainsaw Massacre - I screamed like a baby watching it
The Ring 1 & 2 - Definitley scared me from watching tv lol
When A Stranger Calls - I Will Never babysit again!
Saw 1&2- Not really "Scary" but its a mess with your mind movie and GORY!
I watched Amittyville Doll House - it wasent the greatest but FREAKED me out.

A movie that creeps me out and makes me not want to sleep.."The Exorcist"..the original one..scary! Also, the very first "Children of the Corn"....very creepy if you live near or drive thur cornfields!

Saw 1,2 ;The exorcition of Emily Rose,& that pathetic excuse of a movie in whch Britney Sspears played "Crosrodes".I was at my cousines house & she was watching that movie.Trust me,seeing Britney for 2 hours can give U nighmares & scare a person 4 life..............

depends on what you're looking for as far as scary...
1) for gorey scary, try something like 'texas chainsaw masacre' or 'high tension' that one's just disgusting
2) for jump out and scare you stuff try 'the ring' or 'stephen king's It'
3) for psychological scares try something like 'the grudge' or 'in dreams'
4) and for campy scary movies that may bring back childhood fears, try 'killer clowns from outter space' or 'dolls' or 'the gate'
5) and for just plain wierd scary movies, try something like 'may'

I thought Nightmare at Elm street was pretty scary.but i like the fact that its starring johnny depp.Even ju-on and stephen king's pet cemetry was scary
