This is one of those I'll answer, hoping it's an honest question and not a goofy rant.
White people can be discriminated against and it happens all the time, but can't be discriminated against in modern America for racial reasons.
Discrimination is NOT disliking another race...
It isn't even behaving badly toward those of another race...
Discrimination in modern America is institutionalized and has a component of POWER. History has given whites a 'power' advantage over blacks in this country. Whether we (as whites) choose to use that advantage or not, IT CONTINUES TO WORK TOWARD OUR FAVOR and gives us institutional and cultural edges.
Discrimination is the combination of the racial bias with the use (purposeful or inadvertent) of that cultural power. Because whites HAVE that cultural power edge, they can't be discriminated AGAINST.
What is frequently referred to as 'reverse discrimination' is -- if we're honest with ourselves -- sour grapes when someone else gets a break that we wish we'd gotten, whether we deserved it or not.
No, whites can't be racially discriminated against in modern America.

Don't be silly.....white people are discriminated against all the time. There are all black colleges whites can't get into. There is the Miss Black America Pagent (just to name two). Try having either of those in reverse and see what would happen.

White people are descriminated against all the time. My husband can't receive any gov't help for college because he is a mid-to-lower class White american male. His friends who have even 1/16th Native American blood get ALL college paid for (here in Oklahoma). and Food stamps, etc. Not because of their income, because of their race.
Also the local YMCA has a "Minority Achievers" program where they give minority kids an opportunity to go see the workforce, and apprentice with people to learn, and get a head start in potential careers. NO WHITES ALLOWED in this program. But doesn't my 13 year old son deserve those same opportunities. I don't see a "White achievers" program offered anywhere. In fact, society would find the notion of that offensive. We can have the NAACP (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People). But if I wanted to start the NAAWP (National Associate for the Advancement of White People) I would be hunted down and beat up and called a racist pig.
I thing reverse racism is a huge problem.

I think white people can be discriminated against just as any other race or color. Do i think it's okay, no. I don't believe in discrimination no matter what the color, race, religion or beliefs.

Anyone can be discriminated against and it doesn't stop at skin color. It's a shame that in 2006 people still feel the need to pass judgement against groups of people without realizing how ignorant that makes them.

I hate all kinds of discrimination, but people tend to think that we can be mean to whites because they have been mean to others throughout history. Not fair, I know.
We can thank the Nazis and the KKK.
