My son's cry when born....I was in the delivery room. Several Uncles and one Aunt on my Father's side could not hear or speak since birth. It was a welcome sound indeed.

EVERY sound I have ever heard.. I am so lucky to be able to hear when some cannot. I take joy from all the sounds that surround me because one day it could be taken from me. (Sorry, I know that's not what you wanted to hear, but a child's first words, cries, laughs, etc. are not the only beautiful sounds although they do leave you breathless.)

You're gonna pick something like, "my baby's laughter" aren't cha? The greatest sound will be the noise of my fist contacting my arch nemises' face. Oh the glory when that day comes!

I have 2. My first is hearing the cries of all my kids as I gave birth to them. The second is the day before my husband passed away, he told me he loved me and to take care of our kids and not to worry. I will never forget that. Ever.

Seeing all these mothers......wow. I don't know. Probably the silent words of God.
Or every time I hear little footsteps running across the floor, with a little girls giggle and a little boys scream. They get loud sometimes, but thank God they're alive.

sorry but I have to give a few
the first sound my son made when he was born..
the first word he said was daddy....
and now anytime I hear babies laugh..I have to laugh along with them..and you know it is contagious to me and then back to the baby and it goes on and on until one of us stops..
so there you have it...
