I believe it to be the guarded, neutral face. We hide our most precious parts of ourselves until there is a level of trust, at which we begin to express emotions through facial expressions. We begin to introduce who we are through what we allow to show in our eyes.

we shall hide our faces like the three monkeys being blind deaf & nospeaking...so we can live in that world..because if we faced it we will becoming crazy or we will kill our selves
