how about: a savings bond... saying this is for his future..
How about a gift certificate... to a place that has baby stuff, like clothes or toys
How about a photo album... so they can start to put pictures of the kid.

A Bible is an obvious choice (there is a nice one that is just for little boys - it's square and blue with lots of pictures and simplified Bible stories). I don't think any present that is non-religious is appropriate. You probably already gave the parents a baby shower gift (if he was a first child), so this gift needs to speak to the occasion.

Hmm well seeing as it would be extremely hard to buy a non religious present....you could always just go get something precious moments - i mean in a sense they are religious but not at the same time....

A bible, or any religious pennant. If it's a Baptism it's a religous thing I don't understand why you wouldn't get them something to remember that????

Besides a card to please his parents, try a gift certificate at a children's specialty store. Or, buy him a bright, colorful toy.
If you are really deep, write a poem that he will read when he is older, telling him how important this day was.
