Who are you to tell someone that they can not have sex or get pregnant. Some young GIRLS get pregnant on purpose. Some girls have sex and do not get pregnant. I'll have you know my mother was young when she had me. She's fine, I'm fine, everyone made do and now I'm 25 and married to a wonderful man and my parents stayed together. So why don't you be quiet and let others live how they want to, not how you want them to.

I like what WithLoveMaura said, and in part she's right: who are you to tell other people how to live? But I also get what you're saying as well, even though your spelling, grammar and punctuation need a LOT of work.
This is a complex, many-sided issue. It's not just teen girls. I don't think anyone should ever blame the victim, and you come close to doing this.
First of all, human sexuality is a powerful urge. I remember my 20s (I'm 38 now) and it was as if I were going around in a fog of hormones. I really could not think straight. I am very lucky I never got pregnant. Anyway, although human sexuality is a major drive and instinct, we humans do have free will. That means that there are some girls who wait until marriage; some who have sex recklessly; some who are assertive and who get contraception and use it every time. Human sexuality is all over the map, so one standard of behavior, and one belief does not fit everyone. Human sexuality and human behavior are too diverse for rule-making.
As for mothers teaching about womanhood, that's very complex too. A lot of parents don't want to acknowledge that their teenagers are now sexually mature human beings. Maybe their mothers didn't have the talk with them. Maybe the mothers are embarrassed by sex or have their own issues with sex, or any one of millions of other reasons. There are as many reasons as there are people. I'd also say that it's not up to just the mothers to teach about sexuality; fathers play a role as well. Let's hold them accountable as parents, too.
Your question stereotypes men as ruthless predators and women as helpless victims. This is one-sided and rather simplistic. Human behavior and sexuality is way more complex than that. Not all men are ruthless sexual users. Not all women are helplessly seduced by the first good-looking, smooth-talking guy who comes along. Let's face it, there are men and women who are asexual, normal, highly sexed, and dysfunctional sex addicts. Again, human sexuality is all over the map.
I agree that people should help themselves, but again, it's complex. Parents have a responsiblity to educate their daughers AND sons about appropriate behavior and good ethics. Parents should educate their children about human sexuality and birth control, and they should be self-confident enough as people to be able to impart information without blame or guilt or too much control.
Young women and young men have a responsibility to know their own minds, and know what they are ready for and what they cannot handle. They should also realize that sexuality, no matter how desired, is often overwhelming at any age. It takes time to learn how to handle sexuality. It takes self-control, discipline, responsibility. And since sex is such a major drive, no one has 100% control all the time.
Deepen and broaden your thinking about human sexuality and behavior. Women are not just one way and men are not just one way. We are all over the map. We are individuals with individual tastes and thoughts and choices for our lives.
Cheers, K

ok, lets start out by me telling you that I am 19 years old. I got pregnant when I was 18. my son is now 8 months old. I am married, and we have a very wonderful life and marriage and family!!! Some teens are able to have kids and be mature about it. I agree 100 percent to what you are saying thou about the younger kids doing this. but... not all teen mothers are the same. I wanted to have a child, and I think I am a very good mother! you shouldnt post this out there like all of these teens are the same! There are lots yes that are like that! BUT a few like me, who make good mom's as a teen, or an adult!

Because they feel that the time is right. In every generation and in generations to come there will be someone pregnant teens. Guys don't just say lets have sex and it happens. It takes two to tango, or in this case have sex. The obviously says yes.

alot of girls dont listen to their mothers because of rebellion..alot think that their mothers dont know what they are talking about and they have the attitude that its my life and you cant control me..many of these girls have grew up with a father figure in their lives or their father has little or almost nothing to do with him so they act out in a way to get another males attention...really they are seeking love and approval in such a way because they do not know how to interact with males in such a matter that will bring about positive results....they had no father figure and dont know how to win approval so they go for what they know and that is using their attractiveness to get a guy and then knowing that most guys want sex they give it to them....the only reason i can give why some girls want to get pregnant is so they can have someone to love them because they feel like their parent or parents dont understand them and they feel having a baby will let them have someone in their lives that will always love them. most of them dont think about the hardships that go into taking care of a baby most just think that this baby will love them but clearly just are really calling out for help because they are trying to fill a void inside them left from an abscence of attention from a lacking male role model

Teens are getting pregnant because they're stupid and a lot of them don't get punished for their actions. As for the boys getting them pregnant, it's about time they get punished too. We don't need any of that "thatta boy" attitude towards them. If I had any kids, it would be ingrained in them that they would get a good beating if they ever tried such a thing while living in my house and the abortion cost would come out of their allowance.

I got pregnant when I was 18 and also when I was 19 and I have 2 wonderful baby boys. I wouldn't trade it in for anything, even if it wasn't planned.

I've asked this question already, though I also added with the abundance of contraception out there. I don't understand it myself. Of course, I don't understand how someone can spell so poorly and not use the spell check. Mysteries.

im a believer that in this generation girls have sex not only becouse their pressured to, but becouse the want too. Why we get pregnant? becouse in the spur of the moment you forget everything (your morals and a condom)
their will always be atleast one pregnant teen girl

Girls (guys to) have no business having a baby unless they are married. And they shouldn't be married unless they're both mature enough. Sorry, that's just the way it is.
