The number 10 is mostly worn by strikers and midfielders. They are officially or unofficially the ones who carry their teams. ie create chances and score brilliant goals. Possibly, also, because some of the best football players the world has ever seen all wore number 10. ie Pele some others that I can't remember their names and now Ronaldhino
