I would rather have a job that i love to do as opposed to a job that makes more money. If you work in an environment that you dont like, with people that you dont like, chances are you will not be motivated to keep the job, even if the money is better. I think people are more likely to maintain a job they enjoy so much that the only motivation they need for going, is the fact that they enjoy it.

I've worked for both types. I love my job now. I get to meet the greatest people.

Work with people that you enjoy so when the times are lean you have someone to talk to.

Life is too short to spend 40 hours a week with people or at a place you don't like.

I would prefer to work in a place that I love to work. If I worked somewhere I hated I wouldn't have the motivation to go therefore I wouldnt make enough money. If I loved the place I worked I would be motivated to work and more willing to work overtime for the money I need.

Depends how much (1) is paying. If it is enough to allow you to invest and build up enough capital to retire before 35 and do what ever you want - sure. Otherwise not. The few extra peripherals it will allow you to buy will soon be outweighed by your misery of working somewhere horrible.

Interesting ....I would rather work in a job that I love....why spend so much time miserable...you may make the money...but what is your life worth to you? On the other hand...the answer would be easy if a person is monetarily motivated then misery would be secondary to what they can achieve through money...they would choose number one...

2, which is the plan. I could go into computer repair, but I hate doing it but I could make a lot more money. I plan on being a HS music teacher which pays much less, but I'll enjoy my job.

#2 without a question!
life is short!
may as well enjoy what you are doing, whats the sense in distroying your spirit cause you are unhappy with making money?
We are here for a reason, find out what it is, and do it.
I'm doing what I want on a daily basis, 'helping family find one another'. I don't get paid money for this.. but I get paid gradification DAILY. I LOVE what I do.
