That depends on the person...not on their shape or size, but on how they USE their body. A person who moves with confidence and grace, who projects charisma and compassion, is nearly always attractive! I used to be really self-conscious about my pale and freckled skin (not to mention my plumpness), until someone told me that they had never noticed my coloring, being much more interested in my sensual movements, my sparkling eyes, my long hair, and the way my non-judgemental attitude made them feel good about themself, like they could share anything with me. Since then, I've bared my pale skin with confidence, and even more people have described me as beautiful, Botticelli-like, classic...even calling me a goddess!

No, I wouldn't say it's unattractive but if your friend feels a little uncomfortable there is a wonderful product on the market called "Holiday Skin" by johnson&johnson, it's actually a moisturisor with a hint of tan! It can be applied all over the body including the face, it's water resistent and it gives a beautiful natural looking tan!

What is attractive or unattractive? It's all a matter of someone's opinion on what looks good or not. Your actual skin color shouldn't be what makes someone attractive or not. What happened to people believing what's inside counts most? Have a pale body means you've stayed out of the sun and tanning booths which is healthier for you as far as cancer goes. Be happy with yourself and you won't need to ask for others approval.

I personally think its unattractive to have a ghost white body esp when swimming because it makes you look kinda dead.

But swimming is a good start to lose that ghost white body. but if you feel good with it then keep it everyone else can deal.

I live in Spain..and most of the Spanish stay out of the sun.. it is seen as undesirable by the wealthy...they want whiter skin..has nothing to do with being racial, but more a symbol of a class system..once it was only the poor that laboured in the hot sun and got the ¨red necks¨and or deeply tanned skin. My personal opinion is that creamy white flawless skin looks fabulous.

Absolutely not! Look at Nicole Kidman, one of the most attractive women in Hollywood and she is pastey white. I think it's more unattractive to look like tanned leather. People are most beautiful in the skin they were born with.

yeah i think its somewhat unattractive but hey what can you do!? not your fault!
if your self concious about it, go tanning, if you dont want to risk going tanning because of the skin cancer thing... theres sunless tanning you can use if you want.

im not saying turn DARK DARK and leathery looking! cuz that looks bad too.. just a light tan!

nope when your friend is 50 and has beautiful healthy skin and all her tanning friends have wrinkles and leathery skin, she will get the last laugh!! it is true sun damage is irresversible and unfortunatly young girls dont think about the future enough to grasp how bad it really is

not at all.....its actually the healthiest. the only way it should be any darker, is if you were born that color......it is too easy to get skin cancer from the sun..... my uncle worked for the city and was always out in the sun....yea, he looked really tan, but he got skin cancer from it.

I think that it's fine to be white when first going swimming, everyone has to start somewhere!
