I did a test question the other day being new on this but this is a more real question. I'm 54,disable vetrean. I have gone through all the things people say to do for help and don't get the real help.REAL HELP.I'm on a fixed income and about to be homeless andwith out food. The car I have is in need of fixing so I can go to the doctores( I can't walk or stand for a long time) for my pain. I take a high amount of pain medacation to just get up and try to be normal. Trust me when I said I have done all the thinks of getting help but there are no programs for someone like me. i'm not a drinker or a drunk, I don't do drugs, I don't have mental illness. You see i have a college education and it did not help. I helped a lot of people over there years and have saved lives but when I needed help, i don't get it because I dont fit into any of the above or such. I have sent letters to members of our goverment, celebritys and others. I just point this out for you understand. More to come maybe.

I don't know what area you live in but our area has a VA and also a veteran's outreach center that connects veterans to all services that are available to them. We also have a Good Samaritan organization that provides help in many way from money for housing to clothes and furniture and help with utilities. Our local Goodwill stores also have autos at reduced prices. There is also a national organization of bikers...Rolling Thunder and they work for the interestes of veterans and their families. You may be able to locate them on the web. My town is Johnson City, TN and is veteran friendly. Hope this helps.

Where are you accessing the internet? Why not look for gov't agencies to help you rather than post things on here? You're a hero in my eyes for sacrificing for our country but I find the story a little fishy. Sorry. Hope you find the help you need.
