i have a green blanket from since i was 5.... i'm over 30 now & still can's sleep without it. i take it to me on trips & even my honeymoon. It is worn & pale light green & you can see right though it, its that thin. My wife thinks i crazy when it is time for bed & i have to ask where my blanket is. she would sometimes hide it during the first year of our marriage & i just would stay up all night. now she always makes sure that it is on my pillow so i don't panic & say "wheres my blanket" you couldn't pay me to get rid of that blanket.

On my 4th birthday, my mom had a tiny ceramic ballerina on the top of my birthday cake & she spins when you give her a nudge. I still have her to this day; she is now 40 years old & very precious to me, my children love to give her a spin now & then but they respect her & don't take her down from her place on the dresser & she's never been damaged or broken. I also have a silver Liberty head dollar my grandfather gave me when I had my appendix removed - I suppose that is more valuable than the ballerina as her value is strictly sentimental.
Great question, thanks for asking!

I have an old stereo/record player that I got for Christmas when I was 12 years old. I am now 40 yrs old. And it still works!!!

Also, I have an old painting of John Wayne that I paid $100 for when I was 16, and gave to my Grandfather, who died in 1989.
VERY valuable to me!!!
