All babies are born with a steal blue/Grey color to there eyes. The color of the eye can change until the baby is 6 months old. an example of this is my sister. she went from the blue color to green, to black and then turned Hazel. I hope this helps you.
they finally stayed hazel.

My son's eyes were blue for 4 months, then changed to a bright green, and now at 19-months they are a green-brown hazel. So it could take awhile. My daughter is 5 months old now and hers are still blue, so I'm hoping they stay that way!

Gosh, I don't remember how long it took for my little one's to turn brown. I'd say you should see some change, even if it's subtle, in the next 4 months or so, but if somebody says by 1 year, I'll go with that too.
Actually, no.....we had a family reunion when she was 3 months old, and my grandparents commented on her black (BROWN!!!!) eyes.
Maybe she's just a blue-eyed baby :-)

All caucasian babies are born with blue eyes. If they are going to change, they usually do before 12 months of age. My daughter is 11 mo. and they are still blue. I'm hoping that they will stay that way as she has the lightest blonde hair I have ever seen!

Youll get lots of opinions on this one, but as a general rule at 6 months of age if they haven't changed there is a 99% chance that they will stay that way. Only a handful will change after 6 months.

I know it can take up to over a year for the permanent color however, it wont be a dramatic change. For instance no baby born with blue eyes will turn brown.

My son was born with dark silver gray eyes. They stayed that way so I didn't think they were going to change. Then when he turned three I started noticing a green tint to his eyes. They aren't completely green, but they are not the same color as they were. I think the time it takes to change varies with each child.

normally a baby's eyes will stay that blue gray color until at least 3 months, the true eye color may not develop until the baby is about one year old. My children's eyes still change color occasionally, depending on their mood!
