Sounds like you both need to have an honest conversation about what it is that causes the confrontations in your marriage about your in-laws. Start your conversation with this statement, "I feel that......." then fill in the blank.

ie. "I feel that both of our parents are causing us to be unloving to each other, what do your feel and help me understand your feelings."

In a good realtionship you should stick up for each other. Your question is not very clear. Do you or do you not get upset and who fights with who? In-laws can destroy a realtionship and the key is not to let them do it but both the husband a wife need to be on the same page. If they are not...you are facing disaster.

try to see if there is a way you can agree to save up to either travel (i know easier said than done) and maybe plan some get togethers to get involved with his family more so you dont feel so alone. If they are decent in laws then it will eventually feel refreshing when they come to visit

If you don't get upset and you don't feel hurt, why is it you fight. What are you trying to ask?

its all about compromise, go with the flow if he is happy to see his parents ,be happy for him, you know what it is like not to see yours be thankful a mother figure is there for you, make plans to go see your parents, it takes 2.
