Its serious. plz tell the whole procedure to format a PC coz I want to format my pc. I have windows xp proffessional disc. The only thing I want to know is how to format pc. plz help me out....

To format your harddrive you will need to get a recovery disc or a Windows CD.
No boot disc is necessary unless you are trying to install Windows 95.
The recovery disc will usually come with your computer, if you dont have one, you will need to call your computer manufacturing company and order one.
The recovery disc and the windows CD will partition your harddrive and it will wipe out your memory and start from fresh.

If you want to format your PC and you have Any OS CD than you follow these steps for format the disk..
1) take OS CD and use your CD drive and restart your PC.
2) When PC is asked for boot for CD then push "ENTER" button of keyboard.
3) After that you reinstall OS at that time OS will ask for the format your disk then you can select the option which given in that list.

If you want to format only one part of your disk then you can use two way
1) You can choose the Command prompt and use the "FORMAT" command in the DOS.
2) You can choose the "Right click" button of mouse on that particular disk partition and select the format option of the "right click option" .

If you have the XP cd, insert in, and reboot your computer. The bootable CD will give you the option to format your entire computer.
