Yes, y not? Bush is trying to rid a country of murderous assholes. Hes doing the right thing. and all the people that say the war is bad and all that, just talk to someone in the military that has been over there. they will all tell you how proud they were to be over there, to see the faces of the people they have helped and to have so many people coming up to them and thanking them, so just shut up about the war.

Bush should have done exactly as he did, and talk about his visit after the fact. There are many reasons for this but chief among them is security - if the President visits a country that is currently inhabited by terrorists and AK wielding activists, telling everybody where he's going would be foolish. That would be the equivalent of painting a bright red target on an american marked chopper and putting Bush in it - "Here I am, shoot me!" Besides, the American people didn't lose anything by finding out after the fact - there was really nothing that they could have gained from knowing beforehand.

Actors and other celebrities do not tell people where they go for security reasons and also peace and quiet - most people wouldn't want hundreds of cheering fans following them when they want a nice quiet day at the beach - not to mention the media hounds.

Kind of a brave thing to do. For a President that is supposed to be coward.
Seems like he got a great reception from the troops over there when they knew it was him.
not to bad either for a President that is supposed to be hated by the troops according to some people.
But no, i personally think the way it was done worked out for the best.
To many Bush haters there in the USA.
And to Many Terrorist Extremists through out other countries.
Would maybe have tried to do something about his,
Either not getting there in one Piece.
Or not returning in one piece.
For the President it is Safety.

Movie stars and Rappers probably do it to avoid the crowds that would mob them at the airports, or anywhere else they might be.
to them its a privacy thing.

I don't consider Bush a movie star or rapper, so that doesn't make sense. He's the President of our country, and his safety is of upmost importance. So, no, he doesn't need to tell us that he is going to Iraq.

It would not have been safe for him to go if too many people knew. I do think that the "5 minutes notice" that the new Prime Minister was given was a bit disrespectful, though.

I'm glad he's back safe and sound, though. The thought of Cheney becoming President makes me shudder.

Don't you think if we knew he was going there so would the Iraqi's that we're at war with? and Don't you think he might be - not just a prime target, but the Iraqi's ULTIMATE target?

As far as for movie stars, I believe they mostly want to avoid the paparrazi photographers and have some private time.

Hope this helps you understand

I don't care that he made a trip to Iraq, i care that our troops are there under false pretenses, that he lied to America to get them there. I care that his admin is the richest in history(and congress just voted themselves another raise) while he cut benefits for more unemployed Americans than any other pres in history.

No. As much as I don't like the guy, he needs to keep it a secret. Baghdad isn't exactly safe.
