A fetus is growing, and moving, so there's the first charisteristics. Reproduction comes later. And since ALL LIVING HUMANS(unless your illegal) are granted the basic rights, Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, by abortion we are breaking the fundamentals of the constitution. Thats the science side of it. Now I'm going to the theological side of it. The bible states that God knew you before you were born. That means that you have a soul. And anything with a soul must be alive. Now, can anyone tell me why abortion is legal?

Instead of bringing religion in as a tool of argument, I'm going to use the scientific definition of an organism being alive. A living organism must have the ability to live independantly from another organism, thus a fetus cannot be considered a living organism. And also, according to Federal Law, not all humans are given these fundamental rights. Convicted criminals and unlawful combatants are NOT entitled to these rights. And finally, to use God in an argument of law is inherently questionable, as the First Amendment prohibits religious doctrine in law.

No one is arguing that fetus's aren't alive. You are arguing a moot point. Why not go to a pro choice website and pick things that people are arguing and then ask questions about that. It would be more interesting.
They might be arguing that they're human. I don't really know. Science has nothing to say about ethics. Religion/practicallity does. And they are on opposite sides of the court.

Ishotvoltron, I love you. I really do. I want you to know that your answer means alot to me. 10pts. If you can find away to transfer them, you can have them.

Wait, lemme get this straight. You'd like me to agree with you about abortion on the evidence you found in a dictionary definition and a "God says... so that means..." ???

I don't know what's more ridiculous, your question itself, or your belief that you're reconciling science and religion to being a pro-lifer.

You do realize that people invest their careers, their entire lives, to the pursuit of genuine and credible information regarding abortion, right? I guess they're no match for you, Webster, and King James.

Jesus Christ, somebody shoot me in the face. I can't believe you're alive on this planet. Really, it just blows me away.

To their eyes, a wart is also a growing and moving thing, but we want to get rid of those. There are a lot of things that are growing and moving that we don't want, so we get rid of them. That is how people view the fetus; something growing and moving but don't want it, so they get rid of it.

What they fail to realize is that it is a human soul.

Because humans do not have the same thoughts as God. They cannot direct their own steps
