The Bay of Pigs was the Bay of Pigs conflict. It wasn't really part of another conflict. I believe it was 1961. Failed invasion of Cuba with Cuban nationals supported/armed by the US

Not in any "conflict" per se, but in the "Cold War". Kennedy authorized the invasion of Cuban exiles into Cuba hoping they would foment a revolution. The idea, of course, was to retard the growth of communism.
