Try to Reinstall, if Reinstall did not work, then you try to to scan your computer for virus/spywares

Usually if you get that error message, exit out of Yahoo Messenger completely and restart your computer, then after your computer comes up, try to run Yahoo Messenger again. If that fails however, uninstall Yahoo messenger and restart your computer. After that, reinstall Yahoo messenger and after the install, try starting up Yahoo messenger again. Hope this helped.

that just means that yahoo messenger has ran into a problem and needs to close down or ur computer may have froze up.... nothing serious just close yahoo messenger

try uninstalling and reinstalling it. go to control panel, add remove programs, select yahoo messenger and select change/remove. this will uninstall it. then reinstall it. you will have the same contacts
