Punching something does not help as much people believe it does. Doing anything that requires deep breathing is good. It's just like when u get a paper cut-it hurts but then ur body releases chemicals to help it feel better. By breathing deep, it goes the same way, and u can become relaxed. yelling is great, exercising, singing even, holding ur breath might work too (i just thought of that; i haven't tried it yet. make me angry. lol j/k) i hope this helps. Also u could use humor. look into the mirror and say something ridiculous, and make a face with it that looks twice as silly! :) have a nice day!!

Physical violence works best for me. Nothing like whaling the tar out of something to make you feel better.

Of course, my "something" is a punching bag. Literally a punching bag; that's not a nickname for my husband or anything.

Unfortunately they don't let me keep one here at my desk. So I mentally blow people up. That's an actual meditation technique I learned. Works great!

If you must yell, try yelling into a pillow at the top of your voice. The only way to really get your anger under control is to become introspective and realize that you can't solve your anger problem with violence. Violence begets violence. Learn to open your heart and spirit to love. That's why Christ came.

I dont know if there is any quick way to relieve, but MEDITATION really helps. It tranquilizes the mind so much.It may take a month or so till u learn to meditate....after that u will enjoy everytime u do it and eventualy your mind becomes so tuned that u will be slow to anger and quick to relax....even in case u get angry
That has been my experience....

Personally, I'd like to wait it out and let the anger settle down..
But if you'd like to let your anger out physically, get a punching bag..

Personally I don't angry that often and when I do I write poetry it's my release mechanism. May sound bland but actually have several poems that were chosen for awards and publication. Try to control yourself before you punch anything and if the need shall arise buy playdoh and hit it.

Whenever I do get angry, I'll do the classic "scream in a pillow". Nice and quiet so I don't disturb anyone, and it really relieves my stress and what not.
