I heard this from a friend of mine but i havn't heard it from anyone else. Not that I'm planning on spendind $600 on it. Instead I'm saving up for Wii. Of course the graphics and technical stuff won't compare, but it'll be the most FUN system to play EVER!

Yes you need a HDTV because the PS3 only has HDMI output.
And HDTV's have HDMI inputs. And besides PS3 uses the Blu-Ray discs which are HiDef. To compliment the PS3 is the new generation of video gaming, the true next generation console. But I like the Xbox 360 more. I hope this helps. To all the others who say u can play it on a normal TV, this is true ONLY for the 20 gb version which is a rip off for ur money, its like the core Xbox 360 comparing it to the Premium version.

No, but to get the full graphics advantages of the PS3 you will need a HDTV.

From what i have heard/read - you don't need a HDTV to use it - but the graphic will look better on one due to the blueray technology

no, even if you have a small resolution tv you'll have super graphics.
