I just believe that if that person makes you happy it should be all good.Not to mention, my baby girls' dad is white,and we( my other girls included) all get along just fine.Were not together,but, he checks on her more than the other father do.Just a question.

People look down on interracial couples because those people (not the couple!) are idiots.

I think that most people look down on interratial couples because society still has not moved to a point of total racial acceptance. There still is tension amongst the races, and because of that, interracial couples are looked down upon by all races involved. With time, i think that this prejudice will slowly die down, but as i said, time is what is needed. I do personally agree with you: if a person makes you happy, nothing else should matter. Color, race, religion, ethnicity: it means nothing if that person makes you happy. People are just starting to warm up to this idea, so just give it time, and you will find greater acceptance as more people adopt this idea.

I think that most people are becoming a little more tolerant. But I think the differences in cultures can affect a child if they are made to feel different. I dont know if there will ever can be total acceptance unless parents teach it repeatedly. In all races. I dont have a problem with it because I am friends with several bi racial couples but I do notice that even they can be judgemental of other bi racial couples

Because we as humans are shallow. We don't like what we can't understand. 20 years in the future (like slavery) we will find something new to look down on!! I hear more about gay men then interracial couples. Your becoming old news.
Now its the gays. What I don't get is why is it cool to be lesbian but god forgive two men get together? Because we are shallow selfish people!!

I don't look down on it. My son is white and was sort of dating this beautiful black girl until she left for the service. Anyway, as far as the children go, I think mixed babies and mixed grown-ups (is mixed a politically correct word - if not, I apologiz) are very beautiful. Have you ever noticed that?
