YEAH!!!! I found a family of four to rebuild my Dad's home made canoe, and we get to share usage of it. Brilliant! True, there are some oddballs out there (e.g. "Wendy", who had a beard....). I got a nice pair of speakers from freecycle (reward for saying I liked Joni Mitchell), and on the other side it helped my parents clear their house before moving, and we got rid of all kinds of odd things from the office, and and and... More! Faster! Bigger!

freecycle is great,,,,you DONT buy the items that people offer,,it's FREE,,,derrr thats why its called freecycle!!!! ive made loads of friends on there,,,the only downside is,,you get some misery guts on there whinging about all sorts,,,,ie,,,people shouldnt put 'wanted' requests on,,they should go to ebay if they need the item that bad,,,,,oh shut up!!!! get alife,,,,

freecycle is great but the sob stories are sometimes a downer.

no way! i never ever buy anything online. way to insecure for me. even the places that use a secure server end up taking the data base home on a laptop and then it gets sold or stolen. go ahead get your identity stolen. it won't happen to me! ☺

I use it and I think it's great. Saves me the trouble of having to haul something away that someone else can use.
