To use wireless, your computers need to be wireless too. Or you can just connect your ISP to the wireless router and use it as a normal router and connect your computers to it using an ethernet adapter.

Your router should have come with an install CD. You need to setup your router to connect with your ISP first. The steps on CD is pretty self-explanatory. Set it up first to your ISP, then you can connect your other computers to it. If you have a wireless WIFI laptop, then it should detect it automatically after setup. If you have a wireless desktop, it too should detect it. If you want to use a connector, then you need an ethernet adapter to connect from your PC to the router. I am not sure if your belking router has a USB port in the back, but normally they have ethernet ports.

Usually these problems are with incorrect security coding. Turn off all wep and wpa on both devices and verify all works well. Then turn on the WPA ensuring you use the same code in the router and the PC. Do not bother with WEP as it is pretty much useless.

you must use USB network adapter with WinXP... it won't work with win98 or older ones.... winxp has usb drivers came with it.

Requirements: One(1)system (computer) to configure your router using manual that came with your router., USB port on your system to connect your router, (mind you, i do not know what media/coonector you use to connect your broadband, let's assume you use

1. use J-45 cable connector to connect your broaband modem to your computer whch to use configure your wireless router
2. install the belking wireless g router on your server
3. on your modem and your system (computer)
4. insert and open the cd/diskette that came with your wireless router, (then go to step 6)
5. if not found, open widows explorer and type 192.168.0.1
6. follow steps. cos your sytem will found wireless router
(mind you, your system will find and install your usb device you connected, first give time for this installation, b4 you continue with steps above)
6. Disconnect and return your system (computer back) to its place

* you have now configured your router with ip address of 192.168.0.1... it has ability to distribute ip addresses to your systems connected.

after this is done which is step 1, go to step 2

Step 2:
1. install wireless router on your clients/workstations and close the computer case to start system (it will install the usb and you use installation cd driver to install drivers)

2. right click on "my network Place" and select property
3. open it and right click on USB network icon you wil see. and select property
4. select internet protocol (tcp/ip) and click on property
5. in the dialog box open, select "obtain an ip address automatically" for ip address and if you like, you can input dns address from your isp into dns addresss block
6. close, and click ok, etc
7. you repeat this on the rest of sytems you have to connect

Step 3:internet sharing

1. double click on network icon on your desktop
2. select "add network place"
3. follw steps and select (i) direct to hub
*** you can click on view next to each options so you may know which one apply to your work
