"Cologne" is and alcohol-based astringent, meaning that it will dry and evaporate quickly. "Eau de Toilette" however is oil-based, making it linger on your skin longer. Whenever you shop for a good fragrance for men or women, look for anything that calls itself eau de toilette; it'll be a bit more expensive, but also a stronger, longer-lasting scent. I use several....Perry Ellis, Roberto Verelli, Calvin Klein, Ocean Pacific, J. Del Pozo, Bennetton, etc. They have all sorts of men's and women's eau de toilettes. Go for it and enjoy!

Let it dry before you get dressed. You should also try layering the scent on. By that I mean that most colognes made also have lotions and soaps that are made with the same scent. After a while, you get used to the smell and it doesn't seem that strong to you but others around you might smell it so ask someone. I know that might be awkward but a friend will tell you.

Don't spread it around or you will break up the delicate particles of scent and it won't smell as good. Spray it in the air and walk through it. Limit yourself to two sprays, because even if you can't smell it strongly, probably everyone else around you can smell it just fine. Also, putting it on you pulse points-behind your ears, behind you knees, on your wrists, will enhance the smell due to your body's heat.

OK you hold the bottle about arms length from you and you "spray delay walk away" walking right in to the mist of cologne. You don't need any more then that. Their are also cologne's that have a shampoo and body wash as well as an after shave. Try that too.

This may sound stupid but try spraying your hair. The smell stays a long time, longer than it does on the body or on clothes.

Your skin may not "hold" the cologne. This is a rather common occurrence in most people.
My suggestion is to spray your clothes (but of course, please don't drench yourself or put so much on that it stains your clothing). The fibers in your clothes will hold the scent of the cologne for you.
Have a lovely rest of the day.

never rub it into your skin. apply to your pulse points, wrists, crook of arm, your neck. a little known secret spot; the small of your back. 1 to 3 sprays should do the trick. this is a warm spot on bodies, and any scent applied there will last an entire day.
happy scenting.

Spray cologne on your body parts where there are creases so it sticks and stays like on the inside opposite you elbows or behind your ears, it also stays if you spray your hair.. don't rub

-- spray it and walk towards it - DON'T rub em!!
-- even better is when you take a shower using that brand's shower gel.. cuz the smell will stick longer -
-- if the cologne has alot of alcohol it will vaporize faster so get something that has higher concentration

Yes, you should let it fry. LOL
Actually, you won't smell it because you will become accustomed to the scent and stop smelling it. But everyone else will be able to.
