there is a free way to download music, movies, etc. it is legal.you just have to download it to your computer, and no fees! ive been using it for years, and it works great. it is called ares.

www.ares.com go to the left and click download ares 2006

after that, click library, which goes to all of the songs you have downloaded, and left click. hit locate files. it will show my shared folders, which has all of your songs, movies, etc. left click on the file you want to transfer and hit send to. and then find your player on the list. (you have to hook up your i pod to get your computer familiar with it so it can be on the list.

There is a way to do it, but that would be illegal. I will tell you because I am assuming you are a responsible adult, and you will not use this to mass produce illegal cd's. Anyway, I actually found this out by dumb luck. when you play a song in your windows media, it stores the actual song file on your C drive. I just clicked the song file and dragged it into my iTunes, and "Ta Da" free song. Of course I then suggest that you delete the song, because stealing is wrong. iTunes charges a buck a song. You can afford that.

I think there's a version of Limewire floating around out there. But I wouldn't use it, as that's illegal, and you can get busted.

Especially since you've just posted your question on a public forum on the web.

It's easier, less expensive, and just the right thing to do, to just pay for the songs.

You can use limewire but it gave my friend's computer a virus which deleted all her songs. Even the ones she paid for. Also the songs sometimes download wrong.

I guess the most convinent way would be to download iTunes. You'll have to manually add all your music, but it is a nice layout and the easiest way to upload to your iPod.

Drag the icon of the song file into the window of your iTunes player and drop it in. It should load into the library automatically after that.

iTunes, which is included with the iPod, can import any MP3 and unprotected WMA files into the iTunes library. Just choose 'Add File to Library' from File menu and find the file(s) you want to add. This will allow you to add any file in your collection to iTunes, and then you can load them into your iPod.

Remember, to always obtain your music legally!
