In researching about a city/town that you intend to relocate to, it is a good idea to check (online in many instances) with the county probate office that will have all of the demographic information that you seek. You perhaps could call them and ask specific questions if the answers are not online. And be certain to check with the local law enforcement office for further details. All of this information is free.

i don't know where you are moving to, so i can't help. i do know that in SC, realtors cannot tell you the ethnic breakdown of a neighhborhood. it is against Fair Housing Laws. You should probably take a weekend and go visit the area you are moving to, and check with the chamber of commerce or some other such public office. also, consult with a realtor!

Go and observe. Look at the school yard, Mall. Parks, and grocery stores. I find that is the best way.
