Bush has an approval rating hovering at 30%. For most Americans, if we had that rating for a job we would be fired. Should we hold our elected officials to the same standard?

robby: He works for the American people. He is a government employee, the most powerful civil servant in the world. This puts him in the same class of employees as postal workers and police officers. Considering that his job entails considerably more responsibility than these other positions, it's not unfair to demand a higher degree of efficiency.

Yes, the man has MANY impeachable actions on his record. He needs to be downsized.

Your analogy is incorrect. Very, very often at work the "bosses" have a very low approval rating amongst the employees. The bosses don't get fired because of that. Just be thankful that we live in a Democracy and we can try a "new boss" every four years if we choose too. Wish we could do that at work eh?

No I think he is OK given all that has hit while he is in office. I tremble at the thought of a John Kerry, Bill Clinton, or Al Gore trying to deal with all that has happened. That being said I do think that there are more suitable people out there than Bush but he is OK.

The only reason why his rating is at 30% is becuase the press, which is HEAVILY influenced by the Liberal Far-Left, makes Bush to be this idiot moron who doesn't know anything.

it should be the press that get's fired, not the President.

If we were voting for best answer and someone got 6 votes for his answer, two other people got 5 votes each, and someone else got 4 votes. The "someone" with six votes will only have 30% of the vote, but they'd still get "best answer."

Think about it.

No, he needs to be FIRED! BUT, to do that it's hard given his position as president. If her were an ol' regular guy, he'd be on welfare right now and no one would hire him again given his resume.

The only POLL that matters is the one in November.
