Whilst the first official dynasty described in Chinese written records is the Xia dynasty 2200 BCE–1800 BCE, a previous dynasty, the Sanhuangwudi, a period from Chinese mythology believed to have existed from 2850 BCE to 2205 BCE is also sited as the first. It is also referred to as the Three August Ones and Five Emperors period.
The Three August Ones, sometimes known as the Three Sovereigns, were said to be god-kings or demigods who used their magical powers to improve the lives of their people. Because of their lofty virtue they lived to a great age and ruled over a period of great peace. The Five Emperors were legendary, morally perfect sage-kings.
Oh, and for the Person who said "Ming", the Ming Dynasty was from 1368CE to 1644CE, only 360 years ago!

The first prehistoric dynasty is said to be Xia (), from about the twenty-first to the sixteenth century B.C. Until scientific excavations were made at early bronze-age sites at Anyang ( ), Henan ( ) Province, in 1928, it was difficult to separate myth from reality in regard to the Xia. But since then, and especially in the 1960s and 1970s, archaeologists have uncovered urban sites, bronze implements, and tombs that point to the existence of Xia civilization in the same locations cited in ancient Chinese historical texts. At minimum, the Xia period marked an evolutionary stage between the late neolithic cultures and the typical Chinese urban civilization of the Shang dynasty.
