I'd say the only opinion that really matters is the opinion of God and I'm pretty sure he likes you. There is always someone who won't approve of what you do. As long as you're happy and confident that what you are doing is right, then don't worry about anyone else's opinion.

No one likes to be hated (at least not most people). Who you are is defined in your core being, or essence, and that can never be changed. It would be very ignorant for someone to hate you for that. However, hatred is a very raw emotion that seldom seeks rationality. Just as it is easy to start a fire, it is that much harder to extinguish it as time elapses. If you are comfortable with who you are as a person, be strong and be proud of it. You may not have a large circle of friends who surround you, but the ones who do will truly be gems.

I'd be unhappy about it, but remember the maxim "you can't please everybody 100% of the time." There will always be someone who has a bone to pick, and there's nothing you can do about it. It may not even be YOU, just the fact that you're getting attention (which leads to jealousy, and then to other feelings).

Surround yourself with people who like you for who you are! (And make those haters really have something to hate you for - real friends!)

Well you have a lot of people in this world we work and play in that hate something about someone, whether it is how they dress, how they look, what they do on there spare time, or just being themselves really I would care because they is always something.... For example I have a associate who likes to say things about other people but don't like it when people calls it to there attention. This person I have to say I dislike how this person acts and what they do, but this doesn't mean I don't love them anymore or anyless it means that now I have to watch what I say around them and so on....Hate is an ugly word used by so many people and to me it is unneccessary because we are here on this earth only for a short time and why should we waste our valuable energy hating someone when we could love what else is out there.

I say this because I spent a lot of time in my life hating people for unknown reasons and I came to realize that I have a lot of other things to do with my life rather than hating someone else because of what they do or say.

I know that you have a life style that most people don't want to except and you hear people saying nasty things about it, I also have to be honest too I have also but I know that this is wrong and it shouldn't be said because this is your life and your choice of how you want to live in it.

I'm trying to be honest with you as much as possible because I don't want to hurt your feelings but if you are an gay or lesbian that is your life I am not here to judge you or condemn you for it that is your choice between you and God....I don't hate you in fact I hope that you are happy and that you don't have all this drama keep surrounding you everywhere you go....try not to pay any attention to it and just enjoy life to the fulliest and just go do your thing because believe if or not they talked about Jesus too and hated him too because of what he said and what he could do... think about what I said and just live okay!!

Peace to you!! :)

It's about as bad as someone not understanding who you are which I think is the real issue there. It's horrible because it's like what can you do? Sometimes you just have to ignore what other people thing and just not worry about what others think. Someone somewhere will hate you no matter what you say or do...straight or gay....so just don't worry about it too much.

I was confused at first. I thought about it and realized that there was nothing I could do about it, unless I wanted a huge confrontation. I knew enough to know that I couldn't talk to this person. He had cast judgment, and nothing I could say would change his mind. So I ignored him. Eventually everyone had to ignore him because he treats everyone the same.

He transferred out shortly after that. Now work is much more laid back.

Anyway, ignore it. Avoid it. Just don't let them get under your skin. In other words..........fug 'em.

That is a part of life. I remember being hated for being smart.
People are hated because of their skin color. Ignorant people will hate others for no other reason than they need someone to be the target of their hatred.
Try not to let it bother you...

How do you THINK one would feel if they were hated because of who they are and what they did?!

Like they aren't someone I want in my life. If someone can't accept me for who I am, how I am and wants for me to change to fit their view of the way I should be rather than me choosing the path that will bring me fulfillment and happiness, then I don't want them around. Life is challenging enough, you need to surround yourself with positive people and get rid of the negative energy drainers. I don't care who it is, family, long time friends, if they don't accept you, you can still be polite about it but I would start to distance myself from them frankly.

Who the hell cares what anyone else thinks? They're the ones who will be thinking about how much they hate you. All you have to do is continue living your life.
