First, someone has to convince me that Global Warming is real. In 1924, the New York Times ran an article predicting an Ice Age coming. In 1933, they ran an article about the longest temperature rise over the last 25 years. In 1975, they reported a major cooling was inevitable. Now in 2005, they are reporting new warming trends.
To me, this would indicate that the global warming issue is simply a global temperature cycle.
It's too bad that the media cannot present the full story. I guess it's more important to spread whatever agenda is currently being pushed by the special interest groups.

Another true believer who wants to enact 'faith'-based economically destructive environmental laws based on very flawed chicken-little scenarios.

1. The Earth is in a minor warming trend, perhaps 1C over the past century, most of that in the first 50 years of the century.
2. The Earth has a long history of warming and cooling. Greenland was once green. Ohio was once covered with glaciers. All this happened without SUVs.
3. The sun is going through a phase of increased activity, which probably accounts for most if not all the warming we are seeing (Mars is also experiencing a warming trend)
4. The models showing chicken-little scenarios are very flawed.
5. Basing a planetary model on 200 years of data, much of that questionable in accuracy, to predict future trends is not statistically reliable or accurate.
6. Very little proof exists that we can do anything about it. Or that we should do anything about it.

I agree. And so does Al Gore. His book is now on the best sellers list and they say his documentary is excellent and well worth seeing. He was interviewed on Larry King Tue night. Also Robt Redford was interviewed this week on Chris Matthews/MSNBC. He says we have to get the GOP out of office bc this is the worst adm EVER to try to dispute that global warming even exists. P.S. I recycle.

Not in the least. Do not agree with one thing you just said. You must have seen the comedy movie by Al Gore. Now there is a heavy thinker. As far as to what my kids may see or not see, I couldn't care less.

I am a Republican and I also believe in Global Warming but instead of making a movie about it, I turn off the water, the lights when I am not using them.

There is no such thing as global warming. The Earth's atmosphere is actually COOLER than what it was last year. Things have to get WARMER before there is global warming.

Yeah it's pretty sad actually. What is more sad is that the Bush administration refuses to sign the Kyoto Protocol agreement.

We can't kill the Earth, it isn't alive. oh yeah, snow sucks, so if my kids don't ever have to see it, i would consider them lucky.
