Immerse yourself completely in your character. Go to that quiet place within and find it - then don't let it go 'till final curtain. Has always worked for me...

Hey man! Well, I do is raise my head high, not so high you look arrogant, but high enough to seem that you're not nervous, and that when you accidentally mess up, it's just "one of those things". Really, thats what I did and I was great when I went up in front of lots of people. Be confident. Don't expect anything bad to happen, after all, what IS the worst that could happen?
Good Luck!

If you mean 'Onstage" performance, Heck, I'd almost fall asleep before going on. The trick is, not to give a damn what anyone else thinks. Go out there and do your level best, but never be concerned about anyone liking it or not. Saved myself lots o ulcers that way. :) Good luck to you!

throw up! ok not really...being in this situation myself before i simply sit down and put myself into a place that i feel comfortable in or get your mind busy with trying to remember state capitals or as many old Billy Joel songs as you can. It makes the time fly by and before you know theres no time to be nervous!
