I think that every one feels that way at least once during his or her lifetime. However, for most, the feeling eventually passes. When I find myself slipping into that dark place -- having those thoughts and feeling those feelings, I try to focus on the good things (however few) in my life.
If the thoughts linger, you probably are suffering with clinical depression and it is important to receive medical treatment. Depression is a medical condition that must be treated for remission to be achieved. I wish good things for you.

sometimes....
and that's when i glory in it.. you know, listen to depressing music, throw a pity party, hide in bed for a day... and then i move on and find something to hold onto... something worth living and fighting for... when i feel really low i accept that it's the way i feel.. i say "this is me. this is life. this is right now and this is this moment and nothing but right this second." and even though it sounds silly it really helps because it's like, all you have to do is be that second and live in it. and then i do something i love, like going for a drive with the windows down and good music turned up...

you know what? i believe in you and i KNOW God does. you can make it through. don't give up hope because eventually things will get better. think of where you want to be and how you want things to be different in a day or a week or even a month or year.. and then figure out what you need to do to get there. and if you need to, just throw a huge pity party for yourself and LET yourself feel as bad as you want but then move on and press forward.

you have the power to change your circumstances and at the very least, you can change your attitude.. no matter what, even if you've given up on everyone don't give up on yourself because you are worth it...

Of course! Everyone does at some point in their life. But don't. There are answers. Try reading a Bible. There are a lot of good answers in there. I recommend reading the book of Psalms and John.

Yes, more often than I care to admit, but I know in my heart that giving up is not the answer so I keep on going---persevere-that's what I always tell my son. I just have to practice what I preach.
