If you are referring to other planets that are habitable, I believe that mathematically there has to be intelligent life in other parts of the universe. Here is why.
1. The Hubble Telescope estimates that there are 125 billion galaxies.
2. Each galaxy has roughly 100 billon stars.
3. If even 1% of those have planets and only 1% of those are habitable and only 1% of those have life, the odds are high.
The odds are extremely favorable for there to be extraterrestrial life.
One can use Drake's equation to calculate the chance of life in our galaxy. Multiply that result times the number of galaxies. See the second link below.
A totally different question would be whether or not we would actually interact with extraterrestrials...
I will leave that one to another Y! Answers Question

The universe contains hunderds maybe thousands of stars similar to the star at the center of our solar system .. ie: the sun. So it is likely that these solar system also contain planets and perhaps under the right conditions, earth like planets. It is highly likely another earth may exist. Scientist have actually developed an equation for calculating the number of earth like planets in the universe.

Yes, I think some number of planets throughout the universe must have Earth-like features - abuntant liquid water at the surface, life of some sort, Nitrogen/Oxygen atmosphere, etc.
Rare? Probably. But a huge number still qualifies as 'rare' given the unimaginable number planets out there.

The chance that there is another planet that is called "Earth" is little to none, but I can't imagine that there isn't another planet with intelligent life somewhere. Of course, it's possible that it is in another galaxy, which means we'll never be able to actually communicate.

since the universe is most likely infinite, another planet could have the same quality's as earth, and mabye even support life. It is a matter of time that our human race devolopes ships cabable to making that search.

The law of probability proves that if the universe is infinite every possibility must occur. Therefore there must be another earth.

According to Father Guido Sarducci, there is another earth in the same orbit as ours, exactly half way around the sun so we can't see it. On this other earth are people just like you and I. In fact, it is identical in every respect except one. We eat our corn on the cob holding the corn horizontally, while on the other earth they hold it vertically. True!
