For "real FREE" ringtones, you can try
http://www.crostel.com
It is a free site where you can upload any music file or pictures and later send them to your phone. They convert music files in ringtones. It is a cool site. And the best, you don't need any equipment. They support most of carriers and also Tracfone that it is very hard to get ringtones too.

You can make your own ringtones for free!
First of all, you go to any ringtone site, but usually they don't have exactly what you want, or only part of a song, and it's not your favorite part, so you have to settle. That sucks!
1. MAKE YOUR OWN RINGTONE
Go to http://www.tucows.com/preview/502368 and download the ringtone maker. Also, just about any MP3 editing sotware will work. Remember, the smaller the file, the cheaper it will be to upload it!
2. POST YOUR NEW MP3
Post your new MP3 to a website, such as your yahoo page. Right click and find the url for that mp3. It should end with ".mp3".
3. GET YOUR RING
Go to that url with your phone. It will automatically download that ring.
4. YOUR DONE
That's it, no more steps.

I only know of 1 provider, that you access through your phone's internet connection. But it doesn't support Boost Mobile. It does support Sprint, AT &T, Cingular and I think Verizon.....Sorry, good luck though.
