I saw some earless goats at a fair one year. They had flies crawling all over their faces. In the pen next to them were goats with ears. Those goats were using their ears to chase away the flies. The earless gaost were watching the goats with ears.

Yeah, if I were an earless goat, I think I would feel like I were less of a goat for not having ears. Because, aren't they standard? You would think that they came with the package. When your body, or a goats body is created, you're supposed to get the standard package, right? Yeah, they've got to be jealous, I would be!!!

The earless goats your talking about, are called Lamancha's. And truly, they are not completely earless. They have a lil' stub of an ear left. Before I truly found out about goats I called them Earless, then I found out that truly they have some of an ear there, just not very much.

My guess is , if they could they would pick to have ears.

I have goats and personally like the ones with full ears, compared to the Lamancha's with stub ears.

Jealousy in animals? Wouldn't that mean that they understand their position in life and have resentment towards others who have it a little better than themselves. Do I need to worry that my dogs and cats may turn on me because they are jealous that I eat fish and steak instead of cat and dog food?
