Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, USC, Texas, Florida teams, LSU all picked by someone. All based on tested players, plus potential of former high school players to fill in "holes" left biy graduation. Why so much diversity?

Notre Dame will have a good team this year with Brady Quinn a year older. Ohio State should have a solid team as well. Oklahoma will be a great team as long as Adrian Peterson stays healthy. USC won't because they lost all of their best players. Texas won't because they don't have Vince Young. FSU and Miami always have great defenses...but they need to improve their offenses. I think West Virginia has a shot, seeing as they play in such a crappy conference, and how they dominated Georgia in the sugar bowl (take that SEC).

As for Florida...they don't even have a decent running back. How can you win football games when your head coach threatens to play without an rb? The Gators will lose in Tallahassee (Go Noles!)

I think Notre Dame, OSU, Oklahoma, and West Virginia will be the top 4 teams, and Notre Dame and OSU will play in the plus one bowl game (which is stupid...please just go to a tournament format already!)

Georgia should not be ranked preseason #1. Im sorry but Florida has the most powerful team in the country this year. Especially their offense. Even though I disagree with them being #1 it doesn't bother me that much because tebow and his gators will take care of their bussiness on the field in Jacksonville when the season actually starts and are going to be national champs once again!

The people who do these types of rankings are as subject to personal prejudicies as anyone else so you always have varied opinions until it all plays out.

Of those teams you listed .. for me ... I would fear LSU the most were I scheduled to play them in my opener.

Look out for West Virginia. Their schedule is lining up perfectly, and they have impact players on both sides of the ball.
