first ,in English and any other English there is no word that is completely equal to another word. Synonym means we can use that word instead of another, keeping "the same" meaning.
I think the only word that can be used instead of synonym (in a very specific context) is METONYM (metonymy is a figure of speech consisting of the use of the name of one thing for that of another of which it is an attribute or with which it is associated.)

still, Metonym and Synonym mean different things, synonym is kind of a general word whereas metonym is more specific, and also, (not in all cases though) metonymy implies synonymy , and not all synonyms are used in a metonymic, symbolic or figurative way.
