yes. it is possible to get pregnant with the hymen still intact. the hyman is usually perferated by the time a girl is nine or ten, and it provides no barrier to sperm.
it's not very high up and can be broken by hand (or by lots of other things), but virginity really doesn't have much to do with that. a virgin is anyone who has not had sexual intercourse. what you would consider a virgin depends on what you consider sexual intercourse. you can break your hyman falling off a horse. obviously, if that were the case, you would still be a virgin.

The hymen is just inside the vaginal opening and it varies from woman to woman in size and appearance. It may be just a tiny border of tissue, a ring, a band of tissue with many small openings, or in rare cases have no opening at all. It can be broken a great number of ways, including using a finger, but this is not what defines virginity.
A virgin is a woman who has not had sexual intercourse, or penetration of the vagina by a penis. If she has a rather substantial hymen, she may have quite a bit remainining after having sex several times, but a true virgin might have virtually no hymen at all. It is whether sex has occurred or not the determines viriginity. Some women can even give birth and have some remnants of a hymen present.
And unless a woman has an imperforate hymen, she can become pregnant if semen or even pre-ejaculate ("precum") is deposited near the opening. Penetration is not required for pregnancy to occur. Sperm is, and it is present in a fertile male in the pre-ejaculate.
Pregnancy this way is not common, but it is not extremely rare either. It's one reason that if a condom is used for birth control that it needs to be put on as soon as the man is erect. Playing around "bare" can be risky for more than one reason.
And just as a terminology note, while the "cherry" is the common slang name for an intact or virginal hymen, an older term was the 'maidenhead."

I have no idea how far the hymen so I don't know if it can be broken with a finger but otherwise hymen is a very fragile thing that breaks easily. Hymen can break while riding a bicycle, exercising, doing gymnastics and so forth.
About whether you are still a virgin or not? You are a virgin. Virginity is only only through penetration. When a woman is entered by a man. That is when virginity is lost.

The hymen is a ring of tissue around the opening of the vagina. Yes it can be broken very easily, by a finger, or even by doing a cartwheel. If your hymen is "broken" you are still a virgin. Only when you are penetrated with an actual penis are you considered not a virgin.
There is a very very small chance a woman can get pregnant if a man ejaculates on her vagina. The sperm would have to find their way into the vagina and then swim up to the fallopian tube where the egg is and there is only an egg there if the woman is ovulating. It's not impossible but highly unlikely.

The hymen is normally very thin.It can be broken even by putting penis or finger or pencil.Hymen of atheletes /sports women are broken mostly with out any sex.Normally at the time of first intercourse itself hymen will be broken and result in pregnancy.Lack of hymen cannot be concluded that a woman is virgin or not.Doctors by close examination will be able to find out.
There are many cases in which hymen is thick and not broken even after repeated impact of penis on occasions of sex.In such cases, hymen is surgically removed

Please do not read if you are young or sensible. I am trying to be clear in my explanation.
Hymen does not avoid pregnancy. If somehow you manage to get semen above the hymen, there is a normal chance for getting pregnant.
When giving birth, it will break however.
And it is not very likely for someone not to break it and get pregnant.
However there are various kinds of hymen, from web like, perforated, many kinds indeed.
There are some that are very elastic and do not break in the first regular relationships (this is not very frequent but may happen).
Some people think it is important to break the hymen in the first night of honeymoon, but sometimes it does not break and some men wrongly accuse the woman.
It is difficult to say if you can break it with your finger.
First of all, everything can be done with a finger, but many women won't break it in regular use of hygiene itens or bath.
But as before, every woman is different.
And if breaks, it shouldn't be interpreted as losing virginity.
Is a girl who had anal/oral intercourse virgin just because of not having vaginal intercourse?
Of course not! If a woman has allowed someone else to be with her, she should take responsability in that. For better or worst.
Most cultures give too much importance to the hymen, but it is not faultproof of women's virginity.
People should relly more on women's honor than on their hymen.

i am not sure how far up the hymen is and no it can't be broken by a finger at least i don't think so, im pretty sure its way to far for a finger to reach and no if it was broken by a finger u would still be classed as a vigin because a virgin is someone who has not had sex, to have sex you need to have a man penis all the way up inside ur vagina. some womans hymens brake by riding a horse so does that mean they lost their verginity to a horse saddle i would hope not

A penis breaks the hyman, if it's not broken other ways yet.
Yes, a finger can break a hyman
I don't remember how far up a hyman is.
The hymen will be broken before having a chance to get pregnant
No matter what anyone says, the ONLY way to break the virginity is by having a penis in the vagina

The Hymen is a peice of skin attached to the opening of the vagina. It can be broken due to excersize, yes it can be broken with a finger and no it doesnt determine whether you are a virgin or not.
You dont necessarily have to have sexual contact at all for this to break.

Yes it is possible (source: Babylonian Talmud)
The hymen can be broken with the finger
If you didnt see blood and it didn't hurt it means it wasn't broken
Then again most women don't even have a hymen
