I have mixed feelings. I think people shouldn't feel bad about being single as you can have alot of fun being single. People shouldn't be pressured into dating or marriage if that is not what they want.

Being single is fine but having a divorce ruins many things

marriage is supposed to be forever but unfortunately we do not spend enough time thinking what will work and what will not work. we let the lust talk to us in to going to fast. people need to take more time to think things through. being single is not a bad. but people do not want to be alone is the main reason that I feel that the divorce is so high. but No I'm not glad that the divorce rate is high think of the kids that suffer they think it's their fault that mom and dad don't like each other. I just think people should think long and hard before they say I DO

I am not happy about the high divorce rate at all. You are right people should not feel bad to choose to stay single. I would much rather see single people who dont sleep around and cheat then married people that do .

No, I'm not glad that there is a high divorce rate in America, because what if the child really loves *both* of their parents and doesn't want them to get divorced.

I don't find anything wrong with being single but its does a number on the kids...I never thought I'd ever be divorced but I am...although my kids are grown...its still hard on them when mom or dad have other plans and can't make a function that everyone else in the family are going to be there..it saddens me for that reason that it tares the family apart when one parent or the other makes that "it just happened", mistake.

marriage is the #1 reason for divorce. Don't need divorce if you don't get married. i know alot of people may say thats morally wrong but i don't care anymore. i'm married now and if i ever divorce i will never marry again. Not glad that it happens but it does.

No!!! I am currently going through a divorce and it's the worst thing that has ever happened to me;even worse than the death of my grandmother. It is also so hard on children!

I'm not sure. It can mean there are a lot of children confused and hurt, a lot of broken un happy families. Or it can mean someone is getting out of a bad relationship and are getting a renewed sense of freedom and a new take on life.

No I am not glad, its a symptom of carelessness on our part that we don't choose more carefully.
