Lion has its own gene while parrot also has its own gene. The Lion is a mammal while Parrot is a Bird so they can not be used for Test Cross.(according to Mendel)

You cant cross a lion with a parrot because there genetic makeup is different.

Nothing.
The only cross breeding that has worked with a Lion so far is with a Tiger, to create a Liger (Insert Napoleon Dynamite joke here).
But seriously, research a Liger, it was on The Discovery Channel and Animal Planet.
