If i had a penny for every time i'd done something like that i'd be quite wealthy now! Just carry on as normal, no harm done. At least you didn't forget to take your pill, now that could be a problem.

It shouldn't be a problem as the pill can take weeks to come out of your system. You should really have purchased the morning after pill anyway but fingers crossed you should be ok.
Dont worry about the missing pill just take them Daily from now on even if you have one left at the end of the packet. Don't be tempted to take extra to catch up it doesnt work that way.
No need to slag you off we all make mistakes and i'm sure you'll be more careful next time anyway eh?

You're gonna have to buy a packet and use the extra pill. Then start afresh. You can't mess around with these things. If you must have 8 pill free days then i would suggest using some other protection. I don't think you're silly at all. W hen I was on the pill I got in a mess with my pill several times. When you have a lot of other thigs going on in your life it's easy to forget. Don't be so hard on yourself.Hope you can work it out hun. x

your not silly but you do need to remember when you take your pill. i tend to take mine as soon as i get up in the morning so i now iv done it. my advice is not to have an 8 pill free days coz that wont work. instead take the next packet that only has 20days worth of pills and finish them. then have 7 days free and then start a new pack. hope that makes sense! lol

I'm no expert but i would say that if you stop taking your pill a day earlier next time it won't make any difference as you will break for 7 days anyway. Would prob be best to check with local family planning clinic. I've done it, it's easy to do. Would suggest you ring FPC or doctors though just to be on the safe side!!

Would never slag any girl off for this it is a common problem you will have to use extra precautions for fourteen days to allow the pill to work properly once more. A condom is not such a problem for a man who loves his woman! Your pill should have a leaflet with it. This should tell you all you need to know

I too take the pill and know how it can be really hard to remember at times. You should ALWAYS take it at the same time though, its safer. You could always call your Dr. or your pill provider and explain your situation to them. They will tell you whats is best. I wouldnt trust a lot of the advice you get on here from people. And besides... better safe than sorry right! =)

I think u should call ur doctor, that is the best way to know for sure what to do. My way of thinking on it would be that it will be to continue to take ur birth control and skip that day but for that time u would have to use another means of protection for about 1 month or 2.
I hope this helps, i am not a know-it-all but contacting ur doctor could aleviate the worry of becoming pregnant when u aren't ready for it.
good luck,
NANNY

If you miss a day out you miss a day out. I don't think you can take two to make up for it or anything. Just carry on taking them at the same sort of time each day but be extra careful for a couple of weeks just in case. (ie. condoms) Just take your next break as normal.

never stop taking the birth control pills once you started taking them because once you do, you have a higher chance of getting pregnant. i think you should go to your doctor and explain your situation to him/her. she may sympathize with you and give you enough pills to make up for a day or two you might miss because of your mistake. everyone makes mistakes...trust me. you are not the only one. i promise.

I wouldnt worry about it. They say if you forget one, take it as soon as you remember. If you forget 2, take 2 right away, anymore then that, throw away the pack and start over.
