15 years ago I read a book in school and I want my son to read the same book, but I don't know the name. It was about two boys in school, like a private school. The popular one broke his leg in the book by falling down stairs and at the end he ended up dying suddenly because of a bone fragment that went into his blood stream. It was about friendship and the not so popular kids coming of age. I'm sorry I can't provide more details than that, it has been a while. But any help would be great. Thanks.

I'm down the list, so I guess you've figured out the book is called A Seperate Peace, non?! LOL It IS a great book and I'm so excited my daughter is going to be reading it this summer. She's a high school sophmore and is also assigned To Kill A Mockingbird, which my younger daughter read in 6th grade...isn't it weird how the school boards/districts determine what's at grade level? Another book your son might like is The Butterfly Revolution...it's got all the elements of Lord of the Flies without all the gore and so much of the violence.

I believe, A Separate Peace is the name of the book. Excellent book by the way. I think there was a prequel or sequel written later as well.
