Why do you need to inform the IRS of your new address. Just enter your new address on your 2006 return. Do you need to inform them of your new address because of a refund due to you or because you owe them money? In that case, go on the IRS' web-site and find the links that you need.

Unless you are self employed and need to turn in quarterly taxes, I think you can wait until you file your next taxes which have a place to change your address included in them.
You might go to the IRS website www.irs.gov and see if there is anything about it. You may even be able to change your address there.

They don't need to know where you live. Only the Empire has authority.
