Well it's probably because the mom is the one who is always there in most peoples lives.Like in my life my mom is always there when I need her and my dad isn't.It's hard to explain but a mom really puts a lot of work in taking care of her kids.As a dad just thinks by being fun will make his kids happy.

it doesn't matter....every family is different and its something that will never change....just like every parent can say they love their children equally but at the same time they still have a favorite. I am a daddys girl.
A friend of mine made a good point. Usually people are more close to their mom because the mom is more of a provider and takes more care of them unless the father was the stay at home dad and did most for their children. Once again every family is different.

I prefer my mother cause she understands me and my father he believes in tough love and i really dont be into that. I could talk to my mother about practically anything, but my father he would just trip out.

A mother's love doesnt compare. Mothers nurture their children from the womb till you grow up, while a father just wants you to grow up. Subconciously, you recognize more direct care from your mother, e.g.- preparing meals, rather than recognizing the indirect care of your father providing for you. And yes, it is completely normal.

Women tend to be more understanding and caring than fathers, just as general traits, and therefore children respond more to their mothers than fathers.

The dad is the enforcer while the mom is the nurturer.
Is it good? Well not from this dad's point of view. The kids will rarely open up and if they don't confide with you it's tough to help them when they have problems.

I don't! My mother was a complete ***** to me from the time I was born until she left our family. My dad has always been kind and fair, so I definitely prefer him over that dumb ice-*****.

Mother's under stand better and can relate to how we are feeling.Mother's are always their.It's just a connection that can't be explained.
