If your answer is yes then do you believe hormonal birth control methods are as well? Most hormonal birth controls do not prevent the egg from being released or even from being fertilized but only prevents ot from being implanted in the uterine lining, thus every month you are causing a fertilized egg to be dispelled from the body, much like an abortion. Many women on birth control do not know this. Does this change what birth control method you will choose?

I am not trying to sell a point, just sharing info. I have had 2 abortions in between my two children and would never have one again. I choose not to use hormonal birth control methods for this reason among others. No reason to attack me. Be considerate please.

well.....i do believe abortion is homicide end of discussion....however when it comes to birth control and things such as the morning after pill i feel a little guilty i took both and every month i felt a little guilty because I always wondered if i might have procreated and not known. Last year I got off birth control because it was harming more than helping me and now I will never use birth control again..its not natural its helpful but not natural ..the only true way is abstinence and since I am married that will never happen....yet i agree with several people on here birth control does many different things to a woman's body so u can never really be sure what it is doing to yours

Birth control and abotion are two different things so I have to somewhat disagree with you. From my understanding about birth control, you don't even have a period so therefore, your egg can't be fertilized if it's not even released in the first place. But I could be wrong. Birth control is a method used to stop the egg from being fertilized in the first place. Abortion is killing a fetus. Technically, I fertilized egg is just an embryo or zygote, one of those- it has no life yet. When it starts to develop I think that's when it's an embryo. To me this is where it becomes abortion.

But to answer your question, yes I totally agree that abortion is homicide. It's killing a life. Many people think that just because the life inside hasn't had the time to develop it's not living. One of the first things to develop if I'm not mistaken is the nervous system and circulatory system.

Sometimes I think about it like this- Plants don't have a heartbeat, yet we consider them to be living. A growing fetus like plants need nourish to develop and grow. Some on has to take care of them and make sure they survive. If you detach a plant from the root it dies right. Same thing with a fetus, if it's detached from the placenta and taken out of it's environment it will die.

Besides, why would anyone want an abortion? I think if people really understood what the risks are to their body they wouldn't do it. Besides, the procedure is just unbearable to see and very gruesome. I've seen the pictures of aborted babies before and I often wonder how people do it. But I'm not here to judge their reasons. I truly think that if they saw what we see see, the image would be haunting all in itself.

I was on birth control for a while but it was only to regulate my cycle so my views on it really haven't changed. I don't need birth control to prevent pregnancy, I have my virginity for that.

It is a bit tough to answer this...Killing an egg is not the same with killing a fetus though...When a guy masturbates he produces sperm, and it dies, so I think it is a bit unfair to compare a single cell, with a fetus. On the other hand, maybe a baby wouldnt have a good future and a miserable life and an abortion would be better....Maybe we should let the child decide for its self....I really dont know, its the only argument I could never pick any side of...What can I say...I believe it has to do with each case individually..if a young girl is raped and then left pregnant then she should have the right to have an abortion...if a girl loves to fool around all the time...then,well...it is a bit unethical

YOU ARE WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!! ANd, I don't usually use caps, but that's how wrong you are. Birth Control does not prevent a fertilized egg from implanting, the MOrning after pill does that. Birth control tricks your body into thinking it's alreadt pregnant, thus not ovulating. THAT IS A FACT!!!!! And, when you find a way to make laws that don't unfairly target women, we can talk. But as it is, it grows inside the woman, so it is her choice. If you don't like a person, you can walk away instead of killing them. Pregnant women can not hand their fetus over to someone else to grow. Even murderers have an alternative.

Yes abortion is murder! birth control pills are not right either, but far less an evil then Abortion.

Both the National Institutes of Health and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists define the beginning of pregnancy as the time when the fertilized egg is implanted in the uterine wall--not the time of fertilization.

Birth control pills act in multiple ways: They may inhibit or delay ovulation, thicken cervical mucus and trap the sperm, inhibit fertilization, alter the transport of sperm or egg within the Fallopian tube and impair the uterine lining's receptivity to implantation.

No I don't. If you live in an over-populated country like India where people give birth to children and then can't afford to look after them, starve them, or make them work in dangerous places for less than a few cents a day you will realise why. I think it makes sense for the person getting the abortion to go ahead rather than doing this to the child.

Also, even if money is not the problem, do you think the person will care for the child if she does not want it?

Why should there be an increse in the number of uncared orphans in the world?

Yes, it is murder. Jeremiah 1:3 says "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you..." God knows each of us before we are even formed. No doubt he weeps when women "choose" to have the life within them destroyed- ripped and torn from their wombs and sucked into a sink. It is not just some lump of cells- it is LIFE! I cannot understand how the same people who want us to "Save the whales", "Save the trees", "Save the earth"- are the same ones who say "Let women kill their children". It is a conspiracy- these people don't care about the earth or people. They think humanity is the plague on the earth, and so they've resorted to using infanticide to try and stop the next generation from being born and populating the earth. Not only is abortion murder- it is evil, pure and simple. The devil's way of destroying the purest and most innocent of people.

I myself do not beleive in hormonal pills or abortion. Use a condom! I mean I understand there are special cercumstances like being raped or something like that but if a person is willing to unprotectivly have sex then they should deal with the outcome of it. But every women beleives diffrnet things so I guess its a matter of personal oppions.

If you believe abortion is okay, then do you also think if someone murders a woman who is on the verge of delivering a baby, the murderer should not be charged with two homicides because the baby's not really a baby since it's not living "on it's own"?

At that point, it has the same mental awareness as a bacteria. Give it up. Society reproduces itself as it should. People who want kids have kids. People who didn't want kids but plan to care for them anyway have kids. People who havent got a chance in hell of raising a kid have abortions or use birth control. Either that, or they show up on CNN, after drowning their MENTALLY AWARE children in a bathtub.
