No chance...

I think it'll be very hard and it will mostly rely on the (hopefully poor) performance of the Czech Republic. I think Italy is a lock and should be able to win their remaining two games. Ghana needs to pull a miracle by beating the Czech and if the USA pulls a tie against Italy... Is that even possible?

Theres absolutely no possible way. I mean they have some good players,Eddie Johnson, Landon Dohnovan, and their captain(who I forgot). They just dont know how to use them. They are in a really hard group and they have no chance to beat Italy or even Ghana. I think that they will not get even 1 goal throughout the rest of the cup.

It's possible, but after a 3-0 loss to the Czech Rep. in the first game it'll be hard. Saturday's game against Italy is a must win and any ties that may occur in other games are welcome. If the U.S. can beat Italy and Ghana and get the 3 pts. each from them, I'd say the chances are pretty good.

Yeah, if Italy accepts that little envelope from the USA coach. Otherwise, you have a better chance of sneaking sunrise past a rooster than sneaking the USA into the second round.

Lots of scenarios are possible, but they would really need two wins and then have the Czechs either beat Italy or draw with them. Would be an added bonus if Ghana beat the Czechs, but I don't see that happening.

Of course, if we don't beat Italy, it's all over. 4 points won't get you through.

Honestly? I don't think so, given that they (or you, if you're American) are in the same group as Italy and Czech Republic (which is not brilliant, but is better than the US nonetheless). But, who knows, there may be a few surprises in this tournament, so I won't say it's impossible.

Only if we can beat Italy. If we draw to them we won't get out of Group Play. If we can beat Italy then we should have less pressure on us whenwe face Ghana. We'd have to beat Ghana aswell, but it'll be less stressful if we have that win ,against Italy, under our belt.

I'm hoping they can, but it seems doubtful. I'm just going to root and hope they can somehow beat the Italians on Sat.

GO USA, Win, lose, or Draw!
